Salary: Starting at $40,000 per year (based on experience and qualifications)
About Pleasant View School
Pleasant View School is a private Islamic school dedicated to academic excellence, character development, and fostering a supportive learning environment. We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Middle/High School Chemistry Teacher to join our team for the upcoming school year.
Responsibilities
• Teach Chemistry courses to middle and high school students.
• Develop engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
• Conduct laboratory experiments and hands-on learning activities while maintaining a safe classroom environment.
• Assess student progress through assignments, projects, quizzes, and exams.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administration.
• Foster critical thinking, scientific inquiry, and a love for learning.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Science Education, or a related field (required).
• Previous teaching experience required.
• Strong knowledge of Chemistry concepts and laboratory practices.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to integrate technology into instruction.
• Commitment to supporting the mission and values of an Islamic educational environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Teaching certification (preferred but not required).
• Experience teaching middle and/or high school students.
• Experience working in a private or faith-based school setting.
