Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Preschool Director role based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Preschool Director oversees the daily operations of the school, including managing staff schedules, maintaining compliance with licensing and safety regulations, and ensuring a safe, inclusive environment for children and families. The role involves guiding curriculum implementation, supporting teachers with classroom planning, and monitoring child development and program quality. The Director communicates regularly with families, conducts tours, and manages enrollment processes. Additional responsibilities include overseeing budgeting and resource allocation, coordinating professional development for staff, and collaborating with leadership to support long-term school goals.
Qualifications
• Strong background in Early Childhood Education and Education, with knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for preschool and kindergarten-aged children.
• Experience in Curriculum Development, including designing, implementing, and evaluating early learning programs.
• Familiarity with kindergarten readiness standards and transition practices that support children moving into kindergarten.
• Ability to manage Budgeting and resource planning to support high-quality programming and operations.
• Relevant degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field (state-required credentials a plus).
• Previous leadership or administrative experience in a preschool, childcare center, or early learning setting.
• Strong communication, team leadership, and conflict-resolution skills, with a collaborative, inclusive approach to staff and families.
• Knowledge of licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and best practices in early childhood environments.
