Job Description
• On-site position in Georgetown, Texas, 30 minutes outside Austin, with relocation assistance available
• Annual salary of $100,000, paid each week, plus health, dental, and vision coverage starting day one
• 40-hour-per-week, full-time role at one of the most forward-thinking schools in the world
You know that a talented six-year-old can master algebra, and that traditional schools often discourage that ambition. If this idea unsettles you, this position is not a fit. If it's why you chose to work in education, continue reading.
At gt.school, students don't passively listen to lessons. They progress through adaptive software that enables learning at five to ten times the pace of conventional classrooms. This structure allows you to focus on what truly transforms children: guiding them in life skills, inspiring them to pursue ambitious goals, and maintaining expectations rigorous enough to drive growth. You are not delivering academic instruction. You are the catalyst for a seven-year-old striving to surpass her personal best.
Your schedule revolves around small groups, not a thirty-student class. You may facilitate a one-hour session on concentration or public speaking in the morning, then conduct a one-on-one meeting in the afternoon with a child who needs support. You will apply data-driven insights to identify the approach that re-engages a hesitant learner. On some days a student resists, and your task is to win their commitment without compromising standards. Upholding those standards demonstrates your belief in their capacity to succeed.
Guide a cohort effectively and advancement follows. Lead Guides mentor other team members on motivation and maintaining high standards. Campus Leads oversee entire schools. This role is the foundation of that trajectory.
Bring your drive and your commitment to excellence. Apply now.
What You Will Be Doing
• Facilitate one-hour life skill sessions for small groups of gifted children ages five to eight, teaching focus, self-regulation, public speaking, and feedback techniques
• Conduct individual and small-group coaching sessions designed to drive every student toward ambitious goals within their adaptive learning platforms
• Study the life skills curriculum and prepared lesson plans, then present them with energy and narrative rather than verbatim delivery
• Administer and oversee Test2Pass mastery evaluations, promoting only those students who have truly demonstrated skill mastery
• Analyze student profiles, interests, and Coachbot data to select the most effective motivators, such as school currency or leaderboards, for each individual child
What You Won’t Be Doing
• Delivering lectures at the front of a room. Academic instruction occurs within the software, and your role is to coach students through the process
• Developing or following a rigid, one-size-fits-all curriculum. The adaptive apps respond to each child's needs, eliminating the need to teach to an average level
• Overseeing a classroom of thirty students. Your work centers on small cohorts where you know every child individually
• Supervising children passively using computers. Sitting back and monitoring screens is the antithesis of this position
• Advancing students who haven't achieved mastery in order to maintain favorable weekly metrics
