Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Athletics Director and Physical Education (PE) Teacher to inspire students through active engagement, foster a lifelong love of sports and fitness, and oversee the development of comprehensive athletic programs. Duties
• Lead the planning, organization, and management of school athletic programs, ensuring alignment with educational goals and student development needs
• Develop engaging PE curricula that incorporate modern learning technology, creative writing techniques, and inclusive practices for students.
• Oversee the scheduling of sports teams, competitions, and extracurricular activities to promote student participation and school spirit
• Manage athletic facilities, equipment inventories, safety protocols, and compliance with relevant regulations
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate physical education concepts into broader academic subjects such as literacy education and math when applicable
• Provide guidance on classroom management strategies for PE classes and ensure a positive environment that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth
• Support academic advising by promoting healthy lifestyles and balanced routines among students while fostering leadership skills through coaching roles
Skills
• Expertise in curriculum development for physical education that incorporates LMS (Learning Management System) platforms and learning technology tools
• Strong classroom management skills combined with experience in teaching physical education across various age groups including early childhood education and preschool settings
• Proven ability to work effectively with children, students with autism, or those requiring special education accommodations
• Excellent communication skills for engaging students, parents, staff, and community partners effectively
• Knowledge of standardized testing procedures related to physical fitness assessments and literacy or math integration where applicable
• Experience in tutoring or providing academic support in areas such as childhood development or behavior management strategies
• Background in education administration with familiarity in private school environments or Montessori educational philosophies

Pay: $37,777.27 - $55,000.00 per year
