Job Description
Full-Time Math Clinician: Salaried Career Opportunity
Holly Graves & Associates is seeking a full-time Math Clinician to join our team.
Our clinicians work one-on-one with students to provide individualized mathematics
instruction and intervention. Students come to us with a wide range of needs and goals.
Some require intensive support with foundational mathematics skills and number sense.
Others are working through challenges related to dyscalculia, ADHD, executive functioning,
or other learning differences. Still others seek support with advanced coursework, including
Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, and college mathematics.
This isn't a tutoring role focused on a single program, curriculum, or homework help. Our clinicians
evaluate each student's strengths and challenges, develop individualized plans, monitor
progress, and adjust instruction based on how the student learns.
We are looking for educators who are learning-disability-informed and enjoy solving problems, building relationships, and helping students develop confidence and competence in mathematics.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement individualized mathematics intervention and instructional plans
• Assess student strengths and areas of need to guide instruction
• Communicate with families to schedule recurring appointments
• Maintain availability before and after school, including three mornings per week
(approximately 7:00 a.m. start)
• Collaborate, as needed, with parents, teachers, tutors, and evaluators
• Manage and maintain an independent caseload and schedule
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
Compensation and Benefits
Banded salary: $65,000–$95,000 annually, depending on instructional commitment,
averaged across trimesters, with a minimum of 20 hours per week of direct instruction.
Benefits include:
• 21 paid days off
• Health insurance (50% employer-paid)
• Dental insurance
• Comprehensive training and mentorship
• Ongoing professional development and conference attendance
• Access to instructional materials, assessments, and intervention resources
• Supportive and collaborative professional community
Who We Are
Holly Graves & Associates has built a reputation as one of Colorado's most trusted
educational intervention practices because we are more than tutors—we are specialists.
Our team provides individualized instruction and intervention for students with a wide
range of learning profiles. We have built our reputation by helping students who have often
struggled to find success elsewhere. Families come to us when they need expertise, not just
extra practice.
We serve students from elementary school through college. Many of our students have
diagnoses such as ADHD, dyscalculia, dyslexia, executive functioning challenges, or other
learning differences. Others are advanced learners who need acceleration, enrichment, or
support with demanding coursework.
Our goal is to help students develop deep understanding, confidence, independence, and the
skills they need to succeed long after they leave our offices.
Who You Are
• A strong relationship builder with students and families
• Skilled at explaining mathematical concepts in multiple ways
• Comfortable working with a broad range of ages, abilities, and learning profiles
• Committed to both conceptual understanding and procedural fluency
• Organized, independent, and collaborative
• Interested in continuing to learn about mathematics, intervention, and cognitive
development
Requirements
• Master's degree in Education, Mathematics Education, Special Education, Educational
Psychology, or a related field (required)
• Minimum of three years of experience as an educator
• Strong mathematical content knowledge from elementary mathematics through advanced
secondary mathematics
• Experience teaching or supporting students with learning differences, including ADHD,
dyscalculia, executive functioning challenges, and related profiles
• Ability to interpret educational assessment data and use it to inform instruction
Preferred:
• Experience with mathematics intervention programs and assessments
• Experience teaching Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Precalculus, and/or Calculus
• Experience collaborating with evaluators and translating testing information
Experience in building and implementing IEPs and 504s
Some students come to us because they have never developed a solid understanding of
numbers. Others are bright students whose ADHD or executive functioning challenges make
mathematics feel inaccessible. Some have dyscalculia. Some are twice-exceptional learners
who understand advanced concepts but have significant gaps in foundational skills. Others
need support in Algebra II, Precalculus, or Calculus.
The right clinician is naturally curious about mistakes, interested in patterns, and willing to adapt instruction
when something is not working. They see confusion as information rather than a problem.
Our best clinicians are equal parts teacher, investigator, and coach.
