Chappell FSCJ Kent is Seeking a Preschool Lead Teacher
Chappell Schools is currently recruiting a qualified, dedicated, and passionate Preschool Lead Teacher for our FSCJ Kent location. We are seeking an experienced early childhood educator who is committed to high-quality instruction, strong classroom leadership, and creating a nurturing, structured, and engaging learning environment for preschool children.
Position Overview
The Preschool Lead Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum, maintaining a safe and consistent classroom environment, supervising support staff, and building strong relationships with children and families.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with curriculum standards
• Maintain a warm, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
• Lead and support assistant teachers in daily classroom routines
• Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth
• Maintain classroom documentation and ensure compliance with DCF and school policies
• Communicate professionally with families and administration
Minimum Requirements
• DCF 45 Hours (Required)
• CDA – Child Development Associate Credential (Required)
• Prior experience as a Lead Teacher or in early childhood education strongly preferred
• Strong classroom management and leadership skills

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
