Job Description
As a School Account Executive, you will play a crucial role in managing and promoting Renaissance Learning's products and services within your assigned territory. You will focus on achieving revenue targets through prospecting, new business initiatives, customer renewals, and cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.
Your strong sales background and developing expertise will help cultivate and maintain long-lasting customer relationships, ensuring high renewal rates and fostering collaboration with Customer Success and Account Executive teams. You will serve as the primary contact for customers, enhancing loyalty and retention while driving business value and growth.
Note: This position may require occasional travel for customer meetings, conferences, and other revenue-generating activities. We are ideally seeking candidates based in Florida or surrounding states.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
• Managing Opportunities: Proactively drive new business, cross/up-sell, and renewal opportunities by engaging decision-makers and utilizing both internal and external networks to maximize opportunity value. Grow your assigned book of business to exceed revenue goals.
• Consultative Solution Selling: Understand and present solutions that address your customers' unique needs and strategic objectives. Collaborate with the account team and partners to craft effective solutions that add value for both the customer and Renaissance.
• Closing Business: Effectively communicate and close deals by aligning solutions with customers' goals. Lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful outcomes for all stakeholders.
• K-12 Education Knowledge: Demonstrate a deep understanding of the K-12 education landscape, including public, private, and parochial schools. Familiarity with school district structures, funding mechanisms, purchasing processes, and relevant trends is essential.
• Domain Expertise: Stay informed about the latest trends and tools in the ed tech industry. Understand competitive dynamics and how they influence marketplace strategies.
• Credibility: Build rapport with customers through accurate insights, expertise across offerings, and a commitment to delivering value and inspiring partnerships.
Qualifications
For this role, you should possess:
• 3+ years of proven sales experience.
• Proficiency in collaboration tools (e.g., Outlook, Microsoft Teams, etc.).
• Familiarity with CRMs and sales technologies (e.g., Salesforce, MS Dynamics).
• Knowledge of education customers and their organizational structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities.
Bonus Points:
• Experience in education sales is a plus.
• Demonstrated resourcefulness and creative problem-solving skills.

Salary Range: This position offers a competitive base salary between $55,000 - $61,500, with a total target compensation (TTC) range of $102,000 - $140,000 based on experience and location.
