We’re seeking enthusiastic Paraprofessionals for the 2026–2027 school year who are ready to support students, collaborate with educators, and help create an inspiring learning environment.
Position Summary
Paraprofessionals provide direct support to students receiving special education services. In this role, you will help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), assist with behavior plans, and collaborate with school staff to maintain a safe, productive, and inclusive learning environment.
Minimum Qualifications
• Associate’s degree preferred
• Not accepted: GED or ParaPro test as a credential
• Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
• Knowledge of special education practices and willingness to learn new strategies
• Proficiency with multimedia tools and computer technology
• Ability to build effective, collaborative relationships with students, staff, administrators, and families
• Strong oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
Position Responsibilities
• Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs to ensure appropriate services for students
• Provide personalized assistance based on student needs and help maximize learning opportunities
• Support the use of digital tools and resources to promote critical thinking, collaboration, and problem‑solving
• Assist in monitoring student growth and following district assessment and grading policies
• Help manage student behavior across settings to maintain a positive learning environment
• Work with teachers, families, and community partners to support student learning
• Participate in school‑based professional learning communities to deepen understanding of curriculum and assessment
• Communicate clearly and professionally in all written and verbal interactions
• Other duties as assigned
