Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team. As a Special Education Paraprofessional, you will work closely with students who have special needs to provide support and assistance in the classroom. Duties:
- Assist the special education teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Provide support to students on the autism spectrum
- Collaborate with the teacher to create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development
- Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies
- Help students with tasks such as reading, writing, math, and other subjects as needed
- Adapt instructional materials and activities to meet the individual needs of students
- Assist in monitoring student progress and collecting data for progress reports
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs, is highly desirable
- Familiarity with special education practices and principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

-CPR/First Aide Required
