Job Title: Part-Time Math Tutor
Overview: Join our team at Concorde Education as a Math Tutor where you will make a difference in students' academic journeys. Under the guidance of the Director of Educational Development, you will have the opportunity to create engaging tutoring experiences for students at different educational levels, from elementary to high school.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate on a regular basis with the Director of Educational Development.
• Organize and lead both group and individual math tutoring sessions.
• Support students in enhancing their study skills, completing homework assignments, and pursuing topics that interest them.
• Keep open communication with the Director regarding student progress and tutoring strategies.
• Demonstrate positive academic and social behaviors for students to emulate.
• Take on additional duties as needed to contribute to the educational mission.
Essential Qualifications:
• Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and varying skill levels.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• A commitment to helping students succeed, combined with the ability to adapt and show discretion in different situations.
• Strong knowledge of math content and teaching strategies.
• Skill in utilizing different tools to facilitate student understanding.
• Ability to analyze data to inform future teaching approaches.
• Capacity to work independently with effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Desired Experience:
• Extensive background in teaching or tutoring mathematics.
