About This Role
Open Doors. Build Bridges. Grow Global Scholars.
We are seeking a passionate, mission-aligned K-5 Foreign Language Teacher to join our North Carolina school community. • Develop scholar proficiency across the three modes of communication: interpersonal, interpretive, and presentational
• Use comprehensible input, target-language immersion, and engaging instructional strategies (TPRS, total physical response, authentic resources, etc.) appropriate to scholar level
• Build cultural literacy through authentic texts, music, traditions, and global perspectives
• Assess scholar growth using performance-based assessments aligned to ACTFL proficiency benchmarks
• Differentiate instruction to support scholars with diverse abilities, including those with IEPs and 504 plans, and heritage learners where applicable
• Build strong relationships with scholars, families, and staff
• Support school-wide culture, arrival/dismissal duties, transitions, and family engagement events
• Participate in coaching cycles, professional development, and grade-level planning
• Lead or support cultural celebrations, language clubs, or family engagement events that build community
• Support school-wide operations during non-instructional blocks - including arrival and dismissal duties, lunch and recess coverage, hallway transitions, family engagement events, and other operational needs as assigned
Who We're Looking For

You'll thrive in this role if you:
