The YMCA of Middle Tennessee is Now Hiring for a 2026-2027 SAS Site Director, Rutherford County School for our School Age Program!
Position Type: Full-time **This is NOT a temporary or summer-only position.**
Pay Range starts at $19 per hour (or more depending on the childcare experience listed in the application or resume)
School Location-Community: LAVERGNE LAKE ELEMENTARY (792) Rutherford County
Shifts: Must be available Monday through Friday for Before & After School Care (6:30am to 8:30am & 2pm to 6pm) with availability to work flexible hours in between for administrative and managerial responsibilities.
Availability Requirements:
• Must be available Monday through Friday
• Must be able to commit to ongoing employment during the 2026–2027 school year
• This position is not suitable for individuals seeking summer‑only employment

What You’ll Do:
• Lead the charge by supervising staff, implementing lesson plans, and making sure our program runs smoothly.
• Create magic by engaging kids (ages 5–12) in fun activities that support their growth—socially, mentally, physically, and spiritually.
• Build community by connecting with parents, school staff, and YMCA teams to keep everyone on the same page.
• We’ll provide the tools and support you need, including training, ongoing professional development, and a team that feels like family.
• This role is best for someone who enjoys staying active with kids. The essential functions of this position include the ability to see and hear children clearly, move quickly to ensure their safety, lift up to 40 lbs, and comfortably spend time standing, bending, and being outdoors in changing weather.
What You’ll Need:
o Minimum Age: 21
o Education & Experience:
• High school diploma + 4 years of experience working with kids in a group setting
• - or - Bachelor’s degree + 1 year of group experience
• - or - 36 credit hours in child development or related fields + 2 years of experience.
o Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
o CPR/First Aid certification (within 30 days)
