Job Description
• $100,000 annual W2 salary with weekly payments; full health, dental, and vision coverage begins on day one
• On-site position at an Alpha campus in Phoenix, AZ; Oklahoma City, OK; Tulsa, OK; Nashville, TN; Austin, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Houston, TX; or Park City (Salt Lake City), UT (relocation assistance available)
Your role is not to teach. Your role is to motivate.
The kindest thing you can do for a six-year-old who reaches 99% of their goal is refuse to accept it as finished. If that expectation unsettles you, this isn't your role. If it energizes you—because maintaining the standard is how you demonstrate belief in a kindergartener's ability—read on.
At Alpha, students in grades K-2 complete their academics via AI-driven apps in two hours each day. No traditional lessons. No paper assignments. Half of your time is spent facilitating one-hour life-skills workshops focused on public speaking, concentration, and constructive feedback. These workshops provide structure, not rigid scripts—the most effective Educators customize them for their group and create new sessions when gaps emerge. The remaining half involves sitting with individual students or small groups, analyzing Coachbot data, and guiding each child toward 100% completion of their weekly app targets. With students this young, energy and playfulness aren't optional; they're essential tools for sustaining attention and enabling learning. Building warmth creates permission to challenge. Challenging them signals your confidence in their capacity.
A successful quarter means every student completes their weekly app targets, passes the Test2Pass for all life-skills workshops, and 90%+ report they love you. Falling short on any of these three means the role hasn't been fulfilled. In your first year, you'll master the operational model; as you demonstrate your ability to uphold expectations, advancement to Lead Guide becomes possible—a position where you mentor new hires while continuing hands-on work with students.
If you're drawn to conventional teaching, prefer ready-made lesson plans, or view warmth and rigor as incompatible, this role isn't for you. If you've excelled as an early-elementary teacher who loved circle time, a camp counselor for young children, a youth sports coach, a children's theater performer, or anyone capable of captivating a room of kindergarteners through presence, play, and energy, the final step before receiving an offer is a shadow day on campus where you'll coach actual Alpha students. If that prospect excites you most, submit your application today.
What You Will Be Doing
• Facilitating one-hour life-skills workshops for groups of 10-15 K-2 students covering public speaking, concentration, feedback, and other foundational competencies
• Conducting daily individual and small-group motivation sessions to keep students progressing toward weekly app targets, leveraging Coachbot analytics, Alpha's motivational tools (school currency, leaderboards), and the individual rapport you establish with each child
• Delivering the Test2Pass (Alpha's mastery-based evaluation) for each life skill, then coaching students who fall short until they achieve mastery
• Engaging kindergarteners through songs, stories, physical activity, and playfulness, while simultaneously maintaining measurable expectations for first and second graders
• Serving as the caring adult children are excited to see at arrival AND the adult who won't allow them to settle for less
What You Won’t Be Doing
• Delivering instruction at the whiteboard; academic content is delivered through the apps, not by you
• Creating curriculum independently; Alpha supplies the framework and you execute it
• Passively monitoring children on computers; motivation in this environment is active, personalized, and persistent
• Adjusting a weekly target downward so a child can reach it; when a student falls behind, the solution is supporting the student, not lowering the bar
• Evaluating homework, conducting standardized test preparation, or handling parent outreach; Campus Leads manage parent communication, and the other tasks don't exist in this model
Educator Key Responsibilities
Guarantee that every student in your K-2 cohort completes their weekly learning targets, achieves mastery in each life skill, and finishes the year reporting they loved you.
Basic Requirements
• Willing to work on-site at an Alpha campus in Phoenix, AZ; Oklahoma City, OK; Tulsa, OK; Nashville, TN; Austin, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Houston, TX; or Park City (Salt Lake City), UT (relocation support provided)
• Bachelor's degree in any subject
• At least 3 years working directly with children ages 4 to 8 (early-elementary teaching, coaching, tutoring, camp counseling, or youth program leadership)
• A specific example you can describe of motivating a young child to a hard goal: the goal, what you did, and the outcome
• Able to attend a paid training program at our Austin, TX campus
• Willingness to let AI handle the instructional content while you focus on motivation and life-skills coaching
• Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship
Nice-to-have Requirements
• Background in youth sports coaching, children's theater, camp leadership, Montessori/progressive early education, or after-school programs where you held direct accountability for motivating young children toward defined objectives

• Instinctive performer's energy with young children—the capacity to command a room of kindergarteners using voice, playfulness, and physicality
