Are you passionate about helping students succeed? City Year is seeking dedicated individuals to serve as AmeriCorps members, where you will coach and mentor students in their academic and personal development. This is a full-time, paid position with comprehensive benefits.

About City Year

City Year is an AmeriCorps program dedicated to supporting students in achieving educational success. Our teams of AmeriCorps members work collaboratively within schools to provide essential support to students, classrooms, and the entire school community, ensuring that every student receives a high-quality education prepared for a bright future.

Your Role

As a City Year AmeriCorps member, you will focus on:
• Providing 1:1 and small group academic mentoring to students
• Helping students improve their literacy and math skills through engaging activities
• Implementing behavior management strategies to support positive student conduct
• Fostering interpersonal skills through structured learning methodologies
• Collaborating with teachers to assess and monitor student progress
• Creating a safe and engaging classroom environment in partnership with educators
• Supporting school-wide initiatives to enhance student and family engagement
• Leading events that recognize student accomplishments in academics and behavior

Eligibility Requirements

We're looking for individuals who are:
• U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents
• Aged 17-25 by July 1, 2025
• Have a high school diploma or GED, or college experience
• Agree to complete a background check
• Available to start service by July/August 2025
