Role Description
This is a part-time role located in Miami, FL, for a K-8 Tutor and Summer Camp Coordinator. The role involves providing tailored instruction in small groups, designing and implementing engaging educational activities, and fostering a positive, supportive learning environment. Additional responsibilities include organizing well-structured summer camp sessions, tracking student progress, and maintaining strong communication with parents and staff.
Requirements
• Must be organized, detail oriented, punctual, and dependable
• Must have reliable mode of transport.
• Must be available to work evenings and/or few weekends and perform various tasks within the Center as assigned
• Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and respect.
• Collaborate with groups of 3-4 children providing individualized attention
• Foster positive relationships with students, promoting social skills, emotional well-being, and academic success.
• Assess student progress through various evaluation methods, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance, behavior, and any concerns
• Collaborate with fellow educators to share best practices and contribute to curriculum development initiatives
• A proven knowledge of the subject being taught is essential. After the interview, successful candidates will be asked to teach a mock class to showcase their teaching skills and interaction with the student.
• Fluent in both, English and Spanish
