PCG's Education Consulting service line is looking for committed Curriculum Developers to contribute to a K-8 English Language Arts (ELA) Significantly Modified Curriculum project for a large school district. This initiative offers a unique opportunity for passionate individuals to support educators and students in realizing Alternate Standards (Essential Elements) by creating daily lessons tailored for students with significant disabilities who need a modified curriculum. This curriculum will play a crucial role in helping students access grade-appropriate instruction while also enhancing their English language development.
The Curriculum Developers will:
• Craft English Language Arts course content for designated K-8 grades following client and PCG guidelines.
• Be available during standard business hours in the typical workweek, with occasional night or weekend sessions as required.
• Be committed for the full duration of the project, with potential opportunities for future roles.
This is a remote position; however, occasional in-person or travel requirements may arise. The start date is immediate (March 2026), with an expected end date in November 2026. Full-time availability, including during standard business hours, is essential.
Overview of the Role:
• Develop ELA course content for assigned K-8 grades based on prescribed criteria.
• Ensure availability during standard business hours, with some flexibility for additional hours as needed.
• Commit to the full project duration while being open to future opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create daily lessons for students requiring a modified curriculum based on existing district content, which may also involve developing or updating ancillary materials and slide decks.
• Align lessons with design guidance from prototypes and curriculum maps.
• Ensure alignment with district Scope and Sequence documents.
• Utilize PCG-provided templates, models, and process guidance throughout the content development process.
• Revise deliverables in accordance with feedback from clients and PCG leadership.
• Adhere to PCG deadlines and schedules for content completion.
• Engage in a collaborative and rapid development process, working closely with other Curriculum Developers and PCG team members.
• Participate in team meetings and calibration discussions with fellow team members.

• Adept in understanding communication strategies, core vocabulary, and assistive technology usage.
• Knowledgeable about Universal Design for Learning and Backwards Design principles.
• Committed to achieving student success across all learning environments.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Experience teaching diverse learners in ELA classrooms, including English Learners and students with significant cognitive disabilities.
• Deep subject matter expertise in English Language Arts, demonstrated through teaching experience and other relevant work.
• Experience in developing curricular resources and authentic assessments for educational use.
• Familiarity with Google Drive.
• Desirable experience with digital learning instructional design.
Salary Range: $93,300 - $100,000
