• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as literacy, math, science, and social studies
• Utilize learning technology and educational resources to enhance classroom instruction and student engagement
• Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies
• Provide individualized support and tutoring to students with special needs, including those with autism or requiring early intervention services
• Incorporate Montessori, standard-based, or other specialized educational approaches to meet diverse learning styles
• Conduct assessments, including standardized testing preparations, to monitor student progress and inform instruction
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to develop tailored educational plans and support student development
• Mentor students in social skills, literacy education, physical education, and other areas to foster well-rounded growth
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavioral incidents in compliance with education administration standards
• Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, curriculum development, and instructional best practices
Experience
• Prior classroom experience working with children in early childhood or elementary settings is essential
• Demonstrated proficiency in lesson planning, curriculum development, and instructional delivery across multiple subjects
• Experience working with individuals with autism or providing early intervention services is highly desirable
• Familiarity with special education practices, behavior management techniques, and inclusive teaching strategies
• Knowledge of learning technology tools and library services used to support literacy and research skills
• Private school experience or Montessori training is a plus but not required
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators
• Proven ability to manage a classroom environment effectively while fostering positive relationships with students
• Writing skills necessary for documenting student progress reports and educational plans
