As a Criminal Investigator, you will engage in criminal and civil investigations to combat suspected fraudulent activities by educational institutions and associated entities. As a Criminal Investigator at the GS-12 level, your key responsibilities will include:
• Planning and conducting complex investigations; gathering evidence, participating in surveillance, and drafting necessary correspondence.
• Examining and analyzing records and data relevant to the investigations.
• Drafting comprehensive reports of your findings for management review.

As a Criminal Investigator at the GS-13 level, your responsibilities will expand to include:
• Independently planning and executing complex program and grant fraud investigations, with a focus on evidence gathering and surveillance.
• Thoroughly examining and verifying investigation-related records and actions.
• Preparing detailed reports of investigative findings for senior criminal investigators.
