About the Opportunity
We are seeking an inspiring, intellectually curious, and passionate STEM-focused Elementary Educator to join a dynamic homeschool pod serving children ages 4–7. The ideal candidate is an engaging educator who brings learning to life through hands-on experiences, inquiry-based exploration, and meaningful connections across science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and the broader elementary curriculum.
This role is ideal for someone who believes children learn best through discovery, creativity, critical thinking, and real-world application. We are looking for an educator who can foster a love of learning while collaborating closely with an education team to create a rich and engaging educational environment.
Qualifications
• Strong understanding of STEM education principles and hands-on learning experiences
• Montessori Certification preferred (AMI or AMS strongly preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with elementary-aged children
• Experience in a Montessori, project-based, or child-centered learning environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively within an educational team
• Teaching Credential preferred but not required
• Passion for nature-based and experiential learning
• Ability to create and implement emergent and inquiry-driven curriculum
• Self-directed, adaptable, energetic, and collaborative

Key Responsibilities
The STEM Elementary Educator will:
• Serve as the Lead Educator for a small group of students (8-10 students)
• Design and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences for children ages 4–7 in all subject areas.
• Create interdisciplinary lessons that integrate science, technology, engineering, mathematics, literacy, and creative exploration
• Develop hands-on STEM projects and inquiry-based activities that cultivate curiosity and problem-solving skills
• Support children's academic, social-emotional, and intellectual development
• Collaborate with the education team on curriculum planning and daily operations
• Incorporate outdoor and experiential learning opportunities whenever possible
• Maintain strong communication with the education team and family
• Foster a joyful and nurturing classroom culture that inspires confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning
Position Details
Expected Hours: 40+ hours per week
Schedule: Monday–Friday

Compensation: Starting at $60/hour
Pay: From $60.00 per hour
