Job Scope
Oversees daily operations of multiple departments or campuses within a specific segment of the district. Develops
long- and short-term strategies and oversee the implementation of them. Responsible for implementing cost-
saving procedures while increasing performance using multiple inputs and measuring outputs. Will adhere to the
execution of district-wide policies, procedures, and programs. Manages multiple development and planning
matters within the scope of direction.
Position Summary
Responsible for activities cross a wide array of elements to include establishing goals, planning, designing,
coordinating, implementing, and monitoring of new or existing district initiatives/programs related to college,
career, and military readiness. This includes the support and coordination of the district’s CCMR efforts and the
alignment of strategies with input from university partners, and the TEA, and other internal and external
stakeholders. Provides direct and ongoing leadership to District and school personnel through participation in
consultation, collaboration, professional learning activities, staff evaluation/assessment process, and curriculum
planning and development of district strategies and programs. Managerial functions relate to the orchestration of
tasks and the coordination of systems to carry out the mission and goal achievement, including staff development,
instruction, budget management, curriculum, and compliance with SAISD Leadership Standards. Manages the
delivery of related services by vendors. Directs and maintains data collection for assessment of program
effectiveness. Establishes and maintains partnerships with external organizations, governmental agencies, and
other stakeholders; and serves as a liaison to both internal and external parties on a variety of issues.
Plan, develop, coordinate, implement, establish goals, and assume responsibility for all functions relating to the
district post-secondary readiness strategies.
Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities
1. Provide strategic leadership for College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) programs to ensure
alignment with district goals, state accountability, and postsecondary success outcomes.
2. Develop and implement a comprehensive CCMR framework, including dual credit, advanced academics,
career pathways, industry-based certifications, military readiness, postsecondary enrollment initiatives,
and Adult Education.
3. Establish and monitor performance metrics for CCMR including CCMR indicators, participation rates,
certifications, competition results, and postsecondary outcomes.
4. Lead partnerships with higher education institutions, industry partners, and community organizations to
expand dual credit, P-TECH/ECHS, and internships.
5. Direct the development and implementation of innovative programs of study that integrate CCMR
pathways across campuses.
6. Ensure compliance with state and federal requirements related to CCMR, CTE, and accountability systems
(including TEA CCMR indicators and graduation requirements).
7. Collaborate with academic, technology services, counseling, and stakeholders to align curriculum,
instruction, and student support that improve college and career readiness outcomes.
8. Oversee professional learning systems for CCMR ensuring differentiated support for principals, teachers,
directors, and program coordinators.
9. Provide leadership in the use of data systems (e.g., SchooLinks, CCMR tracking tools) to monitor student
progress and inform continuous improvement.
10. Develop and sustain strong family and community engagement practices by partnering with parents,
community organizations, higher education, and industry stakeholders to support student achievement,
CCMR outcomes.
11. Diagnose campus instructional needs and instructional programs to address identified needs.
12. Manage the integration of the district’s curriculum and instructional objectives at the campus level.
13. Ensure campus level procedures align with District policy and administrative procedures.
14. Facilitate communication and collaboration among assigned campus administrators to enhance service
delivery, program development and customer satisfaction.
15. Serve as liaison between district operations and campuses.
16. Monitor and assist principals with implementation and review of special needs programs.
17. Provide administrative direction and leadership for the operational, financial and personnel resources of
assigned campuses/departments to effectively support District goals.
18. Develop, review, and approve campus/departmental operating policies, procedures, and budgets.
19. Identify, analyze, and apply research and data findings to promote school improvement.
20. Develop, maintain, and use information systems and records necessary to show progress on performance
objectives that address the Texas Academic Performance Report indicators, campus improvement plans
and district long-range plans.
21. Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities
expected of this position.
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or 4 years equivalent experience, and
• 3+ years of professional related experience, and
• Progressive leadership experience to include:
o Planning, Organizing, Staffing, Directing, and Managing employees or teams
o Coaching, Mentoring, Developing, and Performance Managing employees or teams
• Leadership in a large, urban school district.
• Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee
(approximately $50.00) paid by the employee
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
• 10+ years of professional related experience, and
• 6+ years progressive leadership experience to include:
o Planning, Organizing, Staffing, Directing, and Managing employees or teams
o Coaching, Mentoring, Developing, and Performance Managing employees or teams
• Valid Texas Standard Principal or Mid-Management certification, or ability to obtain prior to the start of
the contract year
• District level leadership experience
• Bilingual/Biliterate

Working Conditions
Work Environment:
• Computer, computer software programs and peripherals, teacher resource materials and
equipment, copier, fax, and other equipment applicable to position.
• Frequent exposure to: temperature extremes (hot and cold), humidity extremes, noise. Occasional
exposure to: biological hazards (communicable diseases, bacteria, insects, mold, fungi, etc.
Physical Demands/Requirements:
• Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions/deadlines and prolonged or
irregular hours; Frequent walking, standing, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing; Occasional: Lifting
and carrying 10-25 pounds frequently, 25-40 pounds occasionally, more than 45 pounds infrequently with
assistance; Pushing/pulling 10-35 pounds sporadically; May be required under specific circumstances to
provide physical restraint of students in danger of causing harm to themselves or others; Frequent
districtwide and occasional statewide travel.
Supervisory Responsibilities / Direct Reports
• Manage a staff consisting of both people managers, up to and including "Management" district level roles,
and individual contributors.
