Duties

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each child's unique needs, including those with autism, developmental disabilities, or hearing impairments.

• Design and deliver dynamic lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, early intervention techniques, and learning technology tools to enhance engagement and understanding.

• Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all children.

• Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and inform instruction.

• Collaborate closely with speech therapists, behavioral health specialists, and other professionals to support speech therapy, behavioral therapy, and overall child welfare initiatives.

• Utilize classroom management skills to foster positive social interactions among children and promote inclusive participation in activities such as physical education and Montessori-based learning.

• Support early childhood education standards by integrating literacy education, math concepts, and childcare best practices into daily routines.

• Maintain detailed records of each child's progress, IEP goals, and behavioral observations to ensure compliance with educational regulations and facilitate communication with families.

• Engage families through regular updates on their child's development, providing guidance on early childhood education strategies at home.

Experience

• Prior classroom experience working with preschool-aged children in early childhood education settings or daycare environments is essential.

• Demonstrated expertise in special education practices including working with children with disabilities such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), hearing impairments (deaf education), or developmental delays.

• Proven ability to develop individualized lesson plans that meet diverse learner needs while incorporating curriculum development techniques.

• Experience utilizing learning technology tools for instruction and assessment purposes.

• Strong communication skills for collaborating effectively with colleagues, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

• Knowledge of behavior management techniques tailored for young children with behavioral health challenges or developmental disabilities.
