Position: Montessori Assistant Teacher
Bridge City Montessori School is seeking a warm, energetic Assistant Teacher to join our bilingual ASL-English Montessori program serving Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and hearing children.
Deaf and Hard of Hearing applicants are strongly encouraged to apply. If you are Deaf or Hard of Hearing and do not know ASL yet, that is okay — we are happy to help teach and support your ASL growth.
We are proud to be one of the only ASL-English Montessori early education (toddler - kindergarten) in the nation and are building an accessible, language-rich environment where children thrive through connection, communication, and community.

Position Responsibilities
• Assist the Lead Teacher in the classroom
• Support children during work time, outdoor play, meals, and transitions
• Lead games, activities, and art projects
• Help maintain a calm and engaging Montessori environment
• Build positive relationships with children and families
• Restock classroom materials and help prepare activities for the children
• Assist with daily classroom cleaning and organization throughout the day

Preferred Qualifications
• ASL fluency or willingness to learn
• Experience with children preferred
• Montessori experience a plus

Compensation
$17.00–$20 per hour depending on experience
