Role and Responsibilities:

In the Early Learning Classroom Assistant position, you will collaborate closely with lead educators to deliver structured, engaging, and age-appropriate learning experiences. You will play an important role in maintaining a positive, organized, and nurturing classroom environment while supporting student development and daily instructional activities.
• Assist lead teachers in planning and delivering developmentally appropriate lesson activities and classroom instruction
• Encourage positive behavior and active participation to strengthen classroom management and student engagement
• Supervise children during lessons, meals, outdoor play, and daily transitions to ensure safety and structure
• Prepare and organize instructional materials, learning tools, and classroom resources
• Observe, record, and communicate student progress, behavior, and developmental milestones
• Maintain a clean, safe, structured, and well-organized classroom environment at all times
• Foster an inclusive, caring, and emotionally supportive learning environment for all children

Required Skills and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in early childhood education preferred
• Experience working with young children in preschool, daycare, or classroom environments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative team mindset
• Ability to follow lesson plans and support instructional delivery effectively
• Basic understanding of early childhood development principles
• Patient, empathetic, and child-focused approach to teaching and care
• Commitment to maintaining safety, supervision, and classroom standards consistently

Preferred Qualifications:
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• Child Development Associate (CDA) certification or early childhood teaching credential
• Prior experience in preschool, childcare, or elementary education settings
• Familiarity with early learning frameworks and classroom behavior management strategies
