Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will incorporate diverse texts that reflect a variety of perspectives, cultures, and literary traditions to engage students and broaden their understanding of the world through literature. The candidate will promote strong writing skills through effective teaching strategies, fostering students’ ability to think critically and express themselves clearly. This position will be responsible for teaching 3 American Literature classes and 3 Faith 1 courses.

• Demonstrates personal character: “In everything, set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech…” Titus 2:7-8
• Demonstrates passion for excellence worthy of Christ: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord…” Colossians 3:23
• Exemplifies a Christ-like attitude in both written and verbal communication
• Ministers and prays with others; communicates the love of Jesus to further the mission of the School. Attend, participate, and lead faculty devotions and Chapel on a rotating basis
• Approachable, with an appropriate balance of high expectations, patience, and mentorship
• A team-player who is willing to listen to the ideas, concerns, and solutions of others
• Knowledgeable and competent in areas of safe school culture necessary to support school’s mission
