Job Summary

Performs the work of a general maintenance mechanic work as needed for the Board of Public Education.

What you will do

• Maintains, repairs, and corrects all building components as assigned which may include but are not limited to 1) cubicles installation, relocation, and removal, 2) locker installation, relocation and removal, 3) metal fabrication, 4) fence installation and repairs, 5) tile repairs, 6) masonry related repairs

• Provides first line of response to facility maintenance needs to assure maximum operational effectiveness of the facility.
Provides all required and appropriate documentation.

Education Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED Required

Experience Qualifications
Two to Three years’ experience in increasingly responsible general building maintenance and grounds maintenance trade Required

Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of the standard practices, tools and equipment of the general maintenance trade; landscaping, tree and shrubbery work; and applicable building codes is required
