Step into a rewarding contract opportunity in North Austin, TX for the 2026-2027 academic year as a Special Education Teacher. Enjoy a regular weekly schedule from 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a manageable caseload of approximately 25-30 students. This role offers flexibility in selecting your preferred grade level focus, with the choice between EC-6 or 6-12.
In this position, your expertise and leadership in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings will be valued, as you will collaborate closely with colleagues, families, and administrators to create tailored education plans. You’ll play a core role in fostering student growth and championing an inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Active Texas Educator License with EC-12 Special Education and Generalist/Core Endorsements
• Proven experience contributing to and attending ARD meetings
• Ability to adopt and model professional dress code standards, which include a focus on equality and community, single color hair, limited earrings, no tattoos visible, and professional work attire
• Previous experience supporting K-12 students with diverse needs, with strong communication and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
