This contract opportunity offers the chance to work with resource math students (approximately 30 children in grades EC-6) in a supportive environment located in South Austin, TX. Your day runs from 7:45 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, providing you with predictable hours as you make a meaningful impact on young learners.
What We’re Looking For:
• Valid Texas Educator License with EC-6 Special Education and Core/Generalist Endorsements (Required)
• Proven experience with Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) processes; confident participating in and contributing to ARD meetings
• Background teaching special education, ideally in resource settings with elementary-grade math
• Eagerness to foster an inclusive, respectful classroom culture and follow school dress code standards (including professional attire, discreet piercing and tattoo guidelines, and single-color hair)
• Commitment to supporting both academic and behavioral growth for diverse learners
Your Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging, individualized instruction in math for EC-6 special education students
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, administration, and support staff
• Prepare and contribute to ARD meetings, implement IEPs, and track student progress
• Maintain effective classroom management and cultivate a positive, equitable environment
