Program Implementation

• Work closely with the Director of Experiential Learning to ensure that teachers, students and volunteers receive a quality experience when attending assigned Experiential Learning Labs.
• Understand and be well-versed on JA BizTown and JA Finance Park information and procedures; Execute best practices for each Experiential Learning Lab.
• Oversee the Experiential Learning Lab simulation assigned rotation to ensure that all students and volunteers stay on schedule.
• Provide excellent customer service to each school’s students, educators, and their volunteers.
• Ensure proper set up and cleanup of all VR Goggles daily.
• Throughout the simulation, communicate with visiting teachers and volunteers to ensure good customer service. Communicate with the Instructional Manager of any problems that may arise.
• Ensure minimal disruption of simulation by troubleshooting basic technology problems.
• Communicate effectively and efficiently by properly utilizing walkie talkie usage.
• Communicate all successes and challenges with the simulation, educators, students and volunteers with the Instructional manage as needed.
• Ensure all set-up and end-of-day tasks are completed within the scheduled time allotted.
• Assist and/or lead Volunteer Training.
• Learn and be proficient in all Experiential Learning Lab rotations and transitions.

Additional Responsibilities

• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Hours are Monday-Friday from 8-4 pm, based on availability (avg. 15-20 hours per week)
• Proven experience working with school-aged children.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities; be self-motivated and highly organized .
• Ability to manage sensitive information with integrity.
• Ability to work well with others from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Highly detail oriented.

Classroom

• Good presentation skills in assisting students.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with groups of all sizes and variety of participants.
• Must be comfortable with public speaking.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good time-management skills.
• Must be able to work on your feet for a 6-hour shift.

Work Environment

• May require lifting or moving light materials for simulation.
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously, at a fast pace.
