City Neighbors Charter, a K-8 progressive public charter school in Northeast Baltimore City, is seeking a dynamic, innovative Middle School Social Studies teacher for the 2026-2027 school year and beyond.
Ideal candidates have: middle-school and social studies teaching experience; are committed to progressive teaching and learning including project-based learning and arts integration; see teaching history/herstory as a liberatory act; have a demonstrated commitment to equity and social justice; seek to work in a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community; bring unique perspectives and experiences; and are skilled at building strong teacher/student/family/community relationships. All candidates must be MSDE certified/eligible. A background check will be required.
