Role Description

The School Leadership Fellows (Principal, Dean of Instruction, & Dean of Scholars) role at Gestalt Community Schools is a full-time, on-site position based in Memphis, TN. Fellows will work collaboratively with school leadership to develop, implement, and oversee academic and operational strategies that align with the organization's mission. Daily responsibilities include supporting classroom instruction, developing teacher capacity, analyzing student data to inform decisions, fostering a positive school culture, and partnering with the community to enhance the educational experience. Additionally, fellows will receive training to prepare for founding leadership roles in Jackson, TN.

Minimum Requirements
• Master’s Degree required
• Minimum of 3+ years of instructional leadership experience (Dean, Assistant Principal, Instructional Coach), or 2+ years of experience as a principal
• 3+ years of exemplary teaching experience, preferably in a secondary setting
• Valid Tennessee School Leadership License or ability to obtain licensure within 3 years of hire

• Experience in instructional leadership, teacher coaching, or facilitating professional development.
• Proficiency in data analysis to drive student performance and informed decision-making.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills with diverse teams, students, and families.
• A proven ability to foster a positive school culture and effectively manage student behavior.
• Commitment to the mission of improving community outcomes through education.
• Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple competing priorities effectively.
