Location: Seattle, WA (Maple Leaf / North Seattle)

School: My World Mandarin Nature Preschool

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
About the Role

Are you a high-energy, proactive educator who loves the “magic” of the toddler/preschool years? At My World Mandarin Nature School, we believe that quality is the foundation of everything. We are looking for a engaging Assistant Teacher to join our brand-new, licensed center in Seattle.

You will work directly with our Lead Toddler Teacher to support a small, intimate group of 9 toddlers (ages 12–29 months). With a 1:4.5 staff-to-child ratio, you actually have the time to engage deeply with every child, facilitate nature-based play, and maintain a calm, premium environment.
What You’ll Do
• Active Engagement: Be “on the floor” and fully present. You aren’t just supervising; you are playing, singing, and exploring nature with our toddlers.
• Proactive Support: Anticipate the needs of the room—whether it’s prepping a snack, managing a transition, or ensuring the environment is clean and safe—before being asked.
• Nature-Based Learning: Support our unique curriculum based on the 24 Chinese solar terms and outdoor exploration.
• Operational Excellence: Maintain high standards of sanitation and safety, ensuring our “Foundation of Quality” is visible in every corner of the room.
Who You Are
• Engaged & Energetic: You truly enjoy working with toddlers and understand their unique developmental needs.
• Professional Initiative: You are warm, organized and open to learning.
• Team Player: You are excited to support a Lead Teacher and contribute to a positive, low-stress staff culture.
• Reliable: You understand that consistency is key for toddlers and their families.
Requirements
• Ability to meet all Washington State DCYF licensing requirements (Background check, TB test, etc.).
• Open to obtaining WA State DCYF Lead Teacher qualification (ECE Initial Cert) in 5 years
• A passion for nature-based education, love to work with toddlers and Mandarin language immersion.
Why Join Us?
• Superior Ratios: Work in a low environment (compared to the standard).
• Beautiful Environment: Join a school that prioritizes non-toxic materials, organic standards, and nature-based learning.
• Professional Growth: Work in a supportive environment where your hard work is noticed and your professional initiative is valued.
• Health insurance stipend
• Generous OPT
• Industry leading Retirement plan
• Education stipend
• Employee tuition discount
