We are looking for a dedicated individual who is an active participant in their church and possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills. Qualifications and Experience
• A minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience, either in a school or church setting
• A mature personal Christian faith that aligns with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active involvement in a local church that shares the doctrine of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
Job Description
• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training
• Finish the LifeWise Teacher Certification Course within 30 days of starting and before teaching in the LifeWise classroom
• Attend the annual LifeWise Summit each year
• Participate in at least one Teachers' Lounge session or one LifeWise Meet-Up per year
• Regularly check your LifeWise email for updates and training
• Teach LifeWise Classes
• Utilize the LifeWise curriculum to create lesson plans and customize the curriculum as needed
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum effectively in the classroom
• Build relationships with students and pray for them regularly
• Foster an organized, engaging, and encouraging classroom environment using various teaching strategies
• Adhere to LifeWise policies, procedures, and resources
• Maintain Records
• Take attendance in each class and provide necessary attendance records to LifeWise program director or school officials
• Keep accurate class rosters that include health concerns, special needs, and photo permissions as noted on parent permission slips
• Prepare all necessary materials for substitute teachers when required
• Maintain the Classroom
• Ensure a clean, attractive, and well-organized classroom
• Know emergency procedures for classroom situations
• Purchase classroom supplies as needed, using funds allocated by the program director
• Communicate
• Act as an ambassador for LifeWise Academy within the community
• Attend annual school open house and participate in outreach events as available
• Engage in continuous communication with school personnel to stay informed about class schedules and student welfare
• Develop positive relationships with volunteers and keep them updated on schedule adjustments
• Submit regular updates, stories, and photos to the program director
• Promote the mission of LifeWise through all duties and interactions, ensuring alignment with the organization's values and beliefs
