Assistant Director of Admissions for Middle and Upper School (Grades 5-12)

The Assistant Director of Admissions is equal parts relationship builder, problem solver, and operational driver. This role requires comfort with wearing many hats and a genuine commitment to unreasonable hospitality within a dynamic, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. You will bring a strong work ethic and the ability to move fluidly between people-centered interactions and detailed execution to help enroll students who align with our mission.

Job Summary:

The Assistant Director of Admissions supports the School’s enrollment and mission by guiding prospective families through the admissions process from inquiry to enrollment. Serving as a primary point of contact, this role represents the School to applicants and families and collaborates closely with the admissions team to achieve enrollment goals.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversees every part of the admissions process for applicant families.

• Participates as a voting member of the Middle and Upper School Admissions Committees

• Contributes to marketing and content creation efforts that drive prospective student interest and increase applications.

• Leads the collection, analysis, and reporting of admissions data.

• Manages key aspects of the tuition assistance program, including family guidance during the application process and participation in award allocation through the Tuition Assistance Committee.

• Works closely with the Director to train and oversee the student ambassador program.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent the School professionalism and warmth.

• Ability to consistently exercise discretion and respect confidentiality.

• Ability to take initiative and work to develop relationships outside the admissions office to advance enrollment goals.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to create, implement, and manage programs.

• Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles, coupled with expertise in applying these concepts within the admissions process.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree required.

• Minimum of three years of experience in admissions or a related field.

• Analytical and data management skills, with attention to detail and extensive experience with spreadsheets and CRM skills.

• Demonstrated experience in staff supervision and budget oversight.

• Able to work evening and weekend events during peak admission times.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during office work or events.

• Must be able to walk throughout campus to conduct tours and support events.

• Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 lbs, such as brochures, signage, or event supplies.

• Must be able to operate standard office equipment, including computers, phones, and printers.

• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed for admissions events or deadlines.

12 Month/ 1.0 FTE
