5th Grade Math & Science Teacher (2026–2027 School Year)

Sonoran Science Academy – East is a STEM-focused public charter school committed to providing a rigorous, college-preparatory education through a comprehensive curriculum and continuous assessment. We are seeking a dedicated and engaging 5th Grade Math & Science Teacher who is passionate about student achievement and whole-child development.

Position Summary
The 5th & 6th Grade Math & Science Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering effective instruction that supports student learning and growth. This position works under the direction of the school principal and plays an active role in supporting a positive school culture.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver engaging Math and Science instruction aligned to standards
• Develop lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
• Use technology to enhance learning and engagement
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
• Maintain a structured classroom environment with clear expectations and consistent behavior management
• Assess and provide timely, meaningful feedback on student work
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance
• Communicate regularly with students, families, and staff
• Participate in school meetings, professional development, and collaborative planning
• Support school culture through involvement in school activities as needed
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (required)
• Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (required)
• Arizona Teaching Certification (preferred)
• Master’s degree (preferred)
• 3+ years of teaching experience (preferred)

Pay: $60,550.00 - $68,250.00 per year
