Job Title: Elementary STEM Teacher (K–5)
Location: Jacksonville, FL – Discovery Campus
Job Type: Full-Time | 10-Month Contract
Salary: Starting at $49,500 (based on experience)
Job Summary-
Global Leadership Academy is seeking a creative and innovative Elementary STEM Teacher to provide engaging, hands-on instruction in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The ideal candidate will inspire curiosity, promote problem-solving, and help students develop critical thinking skills through project-based and inquiry-driven learning experiences.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities-
Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned STEM instruction for K–5 students
Design and implement hands-on, project-based learning experiences
Integrate science, technology, engineering, and math concepts into cohesive lessons
Foster creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Utilize NGSS-aligned practices and STEM best practices in instruction
Assess student progress and use data to guide instruction
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
Maintain a structured and positive classroom/lab environment
Collaborate with classroom teachers and instructional staff
Support school-wide STEM initiatives, events, and programs
Participate in professional development and school meetings
Minimum Qualifications-
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Valid Florida Teaching Certificate (Elementary Education K–6 or related field)
Knowledge of STEM instruction and classroom management strategies
Strong organizational and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications-
3+ years of teaching experience
Background in STEM, engineering, robotics, or technology integration
ESOL Endorsement
Work Schedule-
Monday through Friday
8-hour shift
