Job Description
The Gifted Coordinator/TOSA advances the mission, vision, and goals of the Gifted Department and Columbus City School District. Through leadership and knowledge of state standards, applicable laws, Ohio Revised Code, and district curriculum, this position ensures compliance and implementation of high quality instructional services for gifted learners. The qualified selected candidate communicates and collaborates with district and building leaders, teachers, parents, and community stakeholders to promote equitable and rigorous opportunities for advanced students. Other responsibilities include: support the implementation and ongoing monitoring of CCS’s gifted service plan; develop and facilitate department-level professional development; plan and facilitate academic options, including but not limited to: chess, debate, Invention Convention, math showcase, the Rotary 4-Way Speech Contest, etc.; and facilitate alternative testing and the visual and performing arts process.
Must possess a gifted endorsement or licensure.
Minimum Of Three (3) Years Of Successful Teaching Experience.
