Job Description/Duties:
The coach’s number one job is to provide an inclusive, enjoyable, transformational experience for our basketball players. The coach provides leadership and expertise on the assigned activity's rules, strategies, and techniques, drawing on knowledge of the specific equipment and events, physical fitness, and safety to prepare participants to compete at the highest level. Job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
• Prepare effective practice and performance plans that encourage student participation, foster team rapport, and motivate participants to achieve their full potential.
• Be an example of sportsmanship.
• Maintain all equipment, including uniforms and inventory.
• Supervise all areas of participation, including but not limited to gyms, fields, locker rooms, courses, buses, pools, etc.
• Work collaboratively with other coaching staff, the Activities Director, families, and community resources.
• Maintains compliance with all MSHSL rules and regulations.
Preferred Qualities:
Previous participation and/or coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level.
General Responsibilities of Catholic School Employment:
