Job Description
A school district in Minneapolis, MN is seeking experienced paraprofessionals for full-time contract positions from ASAP through the end of the school year. This opportunity involves supporting both elementary and secondary students who have complex behavioral and cognitive needs.
Responsibilities:
• Assist students with diverse learning and behavioral challenges in classroom settings
• Support instructional activities under the supervision of certified staff
• Help maintain a safe and positive learning environment
• Work collaboratively with teachers and support personnel to implement individualized education plans
Qualifications:
• Must meet Minnesota paraprofessional requirements, which include one of the following:
• At least 60 credit hours of college coursework
• Associate’s degree or higher
• Passing score on the paraprofessional exam
• Comfort and experience working with students who have complex cognitive and behavioral needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to fostering a supportive educational environment
Location:
• Mendota Heights, MN area schools serving elementary and secondary students
Contract Details:
• Full-time schedule, approximately 30 to 32.5 hours per week
• Position duration from immediate start through the end of the school year
