Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time special education teacher position is available at a school in Kansas City, MO, offering a rewarding opportunity to support students with diverse learning needs. This onsite contract role is active immediately and continues through May 21, 2026.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students' unique needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to create inclusive learning environments
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies to meet educational goals
• Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and communicate regularly with families
• Provide behavioral support and guidance as necessary to enhance student learning
Qualifications:
• Valid state certification in special education
• Experience working with students requiring special education services
• Strong understanding of IEP development and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
