SPED Certified Substitute.

Note: Campus Adventures Staffing Solutions is sourcing applicants for a SPED Certified Long-Term Substitute for a Public Charter School in San Antonio, TX.

Daily pay will begin at $170. When the assignment ends, you will remain a daily substitute and the daily pay rate will change.

Duties:

- Follow lesson plans and ensure continuity of learning

- Maintain a safe and positive classroom environment

- Implement classroom management strategies to promote student engagement and behavior management

- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the individual needs of students- Collaborate with other staff members to support student success

- Provide feedback to the regular classroom teacher regarding student progress and any issues that arise during your assignment.

- Complete all training required by TEA.

Experience:

- Previous experience in childcare, early childhood education, tutoring, or related fields is preferred

- Previous experience working in SPED classrooms

- Familiarity with Pre k- High School (potentially) students is strongly encouraged.

- Experience working with students of various ages and abilities, including preschool and special education students, is a plus

- Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with students

Qualifications:

- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree

- SPED Certification - Required

- Dyslexia Certification - Preferred but not required

- Ability to pass a background check

- Strong writing, reading and communication skills in English

- Strong interpersonal skills.

- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and maintain discipline.

- Flexibility and adaptability to work in different grade levels and subject areas.

- Prior experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred.

- Will have to pay for a non refundable background check (up to $50.00)

- Physical Abilities Needed to Perform the Assignment

- Ability to lift and carry 40 Lbs

- Be able to remain active for up to 8 hours consecutively, and have the ability to kneel, crouch, or sit comfortably

- Visually and audibly able to monitor the classrooms and students and navigate for emergencies.

- Have the physical ability to perform CPR

- To be able to move swiftly in emergency situations

- Ability to work in 78227
