About Humanities at Great Hearts:
Our students delve into the great works of the Western Tradition, emphasizing a strong focus on primary sources. We utilize a Socratic approach, encouraging stimulating seminar-style discussions within the classroom.
History Courses Offered:
• World History & Cultures (6th grade)
• Texas History (7th grade)
• U.S. History: Beginnings - 1877 (8th grade)
Requirements for Teaching:
• A Bachelor's degree or higher is required for a lead teaching role.
• Certification is not necessary for general education teaching.
• We welcome applicants from all academic backgrounds.
• U.S. work authorization is required.
