Go Solar Kidz is a leading provider of green energy education for youth. Since 2010, we have inspired thousands of young minds with the wonders and potential of solar energy. Often referred to as the "drivers ed of solar energy," our programs make learning about this renewable resource both fun and exciting. Go Solar Kidz specializes in premium youth programming, offering engaging after-school classes, summer camps, and in-school field trips. Our mission is to educate and empower the next generation about the importance and benefits of solar energy.
Go Solar! Kidz is hiring for a part-time job that's fun, interesting and flexible!
We need enthusiastic high-energy Instructors. We teach classes in green energy to students ages 5-15. We work with local school districts throughout Minnesota. Instructors are required to transport class materials and equipment from Bloomington to each site. Age range for camps is K-8th grade.
The After School Instructor role will mostly consist of 2-4 hours per work day, Monday through Friday. Instructors will teach solar energy and STEM related concepts through instruction, demonstration, and facilitation of hands-on projects.
Job Requirement:
• Have a valid driver’s license.
• Be very comfortable with technology and using computers.
• Be willing to travel to school and community centers for classes
• You must have your own reliable vehicle that can transport equipment.
• Ability to think on your feet and be creative to keep kids engaged, while teaching.
• Be able to lift 50 lbs
• You must be very punctual and reliable. Students must always be supervised.
• You must be organized and efficient to run an effective class.
• You need self-confidence, energy, creativity and are assertive enough to manage a class of high energy elementary age students.
• Ability to work independently.

Experience:
• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
• First Aid and CPR Certification (Preferred)
• Teaching Certification (Preferred)
