Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Greendale, WI, for a Level I Tech Support Specialist. This position provides technical assistance and media resource support that empowers students and staff to achieve learning objectives. This role ensures that both the digital tools and the physical library environment are organized, accessible, and optimized for literacy and research.

Primary Duties:
• Act as the primary point of contact at the help desk for technical assistance and troubleshooting technology issues for students and staff.
• Receive and respond to submitted tickets, resolving level I technical issues or escalating to the appropriate technician for response.
• Oversee the setup, distribution, and inventory maintenance for all student and staff loaner devices and library-specific technology.
• Assist in the operation of audio-visual equipment and basic productivity suites (e.g., Google Apps) to support classroom and library activities.
• Participate in district technical support meetings and provide input on software/hardware evaluations to the Director of Technology.
• Maintain an organized and inviting library through circulation tasks, shelving, book mending, and creating engaging resource displays.
• Directly assist students with research projects, database searching, and personalized book selection to foster a culture of literacy.
• Manage the library environment and student supervision independently in the absence of the Librarian to ensure continuity of programming.
• Maintain accurate records of student library accounts, including fines and fees, and coordinate communication with the school office.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory staff.
