A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available for middle school educators specializing in math within the western Chicago area. This contract position focuses on supporting diverse learners in a dynamic school environment dedicated to fostering academic growth and inclusion.
Key qualifications and experience include:
• Certification and experience as a Special Education Teacher
• Strong subject knowledge in middle school math
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs
• Experience working in inclusive classroom settings
• Commitment to student success through individualized education plans (IEPs)
Location:
• Schools located in the Des Plaines area, serving the western Chicago community
Responsibilities:
• Deliver specialized instruction in math tailored to students with diverse learning profiles
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support the academic and social development of students
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
