JOB DESCRIPTION:

To provide supervision to the warehouse and transportation departments of Food Services; supervising the transportation of food, supplies, equipment and ensuring that all services are in compliance with Federal and State regulation and APS policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Incumbent must achieve the following outcomes with or without reasonable accommodation:
• Supervises the safe, prompt and efficient transportation of food, supplies, equipment to support Food and Nutrition Services.
• Ensures that all services are in compliance with Federal and State regulations, and with APS policies and procedures.
• Prepares work schedules for Stock Clerks and Truck Drivers.
• Supervises and evaluates Assistant Supervisors, Stock Clerks, and Truck Drivers.
• Trains new Stock Clerks and Truck Drivers.
• Develops and implements the process for warehousing frozen and dried goods and supplies, including rotation of stock.
• Confers with Commodities Bureau personnel regarding delivery of USDA commodities.
• Manages the delivery of meals, food and supplies to designated schools or other locations.Oversees all after school snack and energy booster school programs.
• Prepares, updates and maintains warehouse stock inventory.
• Coordinates, picks-up and delivers Food Services equipment to schools.
• Maintains and secures keys for District Food Services facilities.
• Processes paperwork for the transfers and delivery of food Services equipment.
• Receives Food Services supplies requisitions and supervise the delivery.
• Works with M&O Automotive personnel regarding maintenance of trucks.
• Sets routes for all Central Kitchen delivers to Charter Schools.
• Works with M&O personnel regarding the disconnecting and removal or surplus of obsolete Food Services equipment in schools.
• Develops and implements standards of safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene.
• Ensures safety checks on vehicles are performed and required documentation is updated.
• Checks and verifies temperature of delivery being received to make sure that it in in the proper range.

DUTIES: In addition to the essential functions of this job, the incumbent must perform the following duties:
• Complies with state-approved Code of Ethics of the Education Profession and upholds and enforces rules, administrative directives and regulations, school board policies, and local, state and federal regulations.
• Articulates and facilitates the implementation of the mission and values of the Albuquerque Public Schools.

• Prepares and maintains accurate and complete records and reports as required by law, state directives, District policy and administrative regulations.Shares the responsibility for the supervision and care of District inventory, proper and safe use of facilities, equipment and supplies, and reports safety hazards promptly.
• Maintains professional relationships and works cooperatively with employees, the community and other professionals.
• Maintains professional competence through individual and staff training, in-service educational activities and self-selected professional growth activities.
• Attends and/or conducts staff meetings and participates on committees within area of responsibility.
• Performs other tasks related to area of responsibilities as requested or assigned by an immediate supervisor.

• Knowledge of all phases of School Food Service, including Federal, State Environmental Health and Safety regulations and guidelines.

REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid New Mexico Commercial Driver's license.
• Three years' experience in warehousing and delivery with supervisory responsibilities, and experience in the operation of fork lifts and pallet jacks.
• Computer skills with the ability to use email and learn internal inventory software.
