Role and Responsibilities:

As a Senior Preschool Teacher, you will support children’s growth, guide staff development, and maintain a safe, encouraging classroom atmosphere. You will work alongside families, colleagues, and community partners to help each child reach their highest potential.
• Coach and mentor less experienced teachers by modeling best practices and offering meaningful feedback.
• Implement KinderCare’s curriculum to meet each child’s individual learning needs.
• Create and maintain a safe, caring, and engaging environment for play and learning.
• Partner with families to deliver high-quality care and education.
• Support center goals related to enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
• Build positive relationships with families, coworkers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners.

Required Skills and Experience:
• Strong customer service and organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
• An active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or qualifications that meet NAEYC candidacy requirements.
• Approved state trainer (preferred).
• 2–3 years of experience in early childhood education (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
• Meets state-specific requirements or is willing to obtain them.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to complete certification.
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds and work in both indoor and outdoor settings.
• Physically capable of interacting with children at their level and participating in active play.
• Proficient in English for communication with children and families.

Compensation and Benefits:
• Hourly rate: $19.38 – $24.84.
• Eligible Minnesota sites receive an additional $3.00 per hour classroom premium through the Minnesota Great Start Grant Compensation Support Program.
