Job Summary

Position Overview The Elementary General Studies Teacher will serve as a lead teacher alongside our Hebrew and Judaic teachers, design engaging, purposeful, and developmentally appropriate curriculum in partnership with the grade level team. The Elementary General Studies teacher will be expected to cover reading, writing, language, speaking & listening, math, social studies and science. They will be collaborative in nature and team oriented, use data to tailor instruction to meet students' academic, social, and emotional learning needs. Our goal for the Elementary General Studies teacher is to provide explicit skill-based instruction that aligns with California’s grade based standards for literacy. The Elementary General Studies Teacher will also be expected to implement differentiated instruction that meets the needs of a diverse range of learners, including students who require additional support as well as those who benefit from advanced academic enrichment. The teacher will collaborate with school leadership and the learning support team to help support a developing enrichment and gifted learning program that provides opportunities for deeper inquiry, creativity, and advanced skill development.
