ISM seeks a motivated, engaging Admissions Specialist to join our team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Admissions Specialist is responsible for representing the school to interested families, performing admissions and outreach systems, cultivating inquiries, leading tours, promoting the school and the SABIS® program, and closing leads through various admissions tactics and workflows. The Admissions Specialist maintains the database and communications portals of record with up-to-date candidate and admissions-related information. Under the direction of the Director of Recruitment and Outreach, and in collaboration with the marketing team, the Admissions Specialist supports internal and external marketing efforts (i.e. collateral, newsletters, websites, public speaking, and external events/sponsorships). The Admissions Specialist works closely with the School Director, the school’s administration, academic leadership, the admission committee, business manager, registrar, family liaison and other staff members including SABIS® corporate staff. The Admissions Specialist ensures the school and SABIS® brand, philosophy, systems, policies, and procedures are properly implemented and observed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Student Recruitment:
· Assists the Director in driving the admissions pipeline to ensure enrollment targets are met;
· Responds to inquiries ensuring a positive experience via communications, tours, admissions events, assessment processes, consideration workflows, and contracts;
· Cultivates prospective new students and families through phone calls, appointments, incoming calls, web applications/leads and external events;
· Executes various technical systems supporting communications, recruitment and admissions functions by serving as system SME and troubleshooter;
· Communicates with families about the specific features and benefits of ISM, the SABIS® Education System, ECE, Middle and Upper School philosophies, SLO (Student Leadership Organization) college counseling, teaching staff, campus, athletics/activities, summer camp, STEM and other signature programs;
· Addresses questions, advises on enrollment options and makes introductions to ISM SME’s;
· Executes the assessment administration and committee review process in collaboration with the US Regional Academic Director, ECE AQC/School Counselor, Lower/Middle and Upper School AQC’s, Heads of Department, and School Director;
· Supports the coordination of frequent recruitment, retention, outreach and community events (external and internal) and is required to present at these events;
· Keeps current on trends best practices and tracks local competitors to identify potential issues and recommend solutions in student recruitment;
· Identifies tuition assistance and other payment options for prospective students and families;
· Participates in classroom visits and other special events to explain the program to potential students;
· Promptly follows up on all identified prospects with mail or telephone calls, as appropriate;
· Secures applications for admission from new students;
· Produces follow-up reports regarding activities, outcomes and future plans;
Student Enrollment:
· Participates in the development of enrollment strategies and plans to meet enrollment goals;
· Executes outreach and admissions systems consistent with organizational compliance and goaled enrollment attainment;
· Organizes admissions intake and database maintenance;
· Works with students and families to successfully complete the application process;
· Coordinates the enrollment process for new students including advising, placement testing administration, and registration of first-time students;
· Coordinates with the Family liaison to facilitate new family handoffs for onboarding;
· Completes all enrollment paperwork with prescribed time frames and with accuracy;
· Monitors the communications and admissions portal to ensure all contents are up to date
· May serve as resource to internal departments regarding new student enrollment process via information sessions;
· Produces reports regarding student pipeline, annual comparisons, enrollment outcomes, and capacity planning;
Marketing:
· Assists the Admissions and Recruitment Director and marketing in the development and implementation of the annual recruitment and admissions marketing and communications plans;
· Coordinates, organizes, and attends special marketing events including the School Open House and other external events, sponsorships and booth exhibits such as Art Fairs;

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations or related field or combination of education, experience and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities;
· Must be skilled in Primary and Secondary Admissions, preferably within a private educational.
· Must be skilled in MS Office (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint); Zoom, CRM’s, Project Management Systems and Communications and Marketing systems and tools
· Must possess solid writing, organizational, analytical, and computer skills;
· Good command of the English language, oral and written;
· Interpersonal and communication skills;
· Goal orientation; planning and execution skills;
· Problem solving abilities;
· Dependability; readiness to go above and beyond when necessary to reach goals.
