Dreamweaver Dance Company is seeking positive, reliable dance instructors to teach children's classes in preschools and elementary schools throughout North Atlanta. This is an independent contractor opportunity for instructors who enjoy working with young dancers and want consistent teaching opportunities while maintaining flexibility and professional independence.

Dreamweaver Dance Company partners with schools to bring dance education directly to students, focusing on confidence building, creativity, and positive first dance experiences. Our instructors play an important role in helping children discover confidence through movement while creating a fun and structured class experience.

(Instructors may select available locations that best fit their availability and preferred travel radius.)

Many of our instructors come from university dance programs, studio teaching backgrounds, or early childhood education environments and are looking for meaningful teaching opportunities with consistent schedules.

Responsibilities
• Lead engaging dance classes at partner schools
• Create a positive and structured class environment
• Utilize Dreamweaver curriculum resources or your own teaching approach aligned with program goals
• Maintain professional communication with program director and school staff
• Manage classroom flow and student engagement
• Prepare students for performances when applicable

Instructors operate as independent professionals responsible for their class instruction.

Ideal Instructor Qualities

Successful Dreamweaver instructors tend to be:
• Dependable and professional
• Great with young children
• Positive and encouraging
• Organized and self directed
• Comfortable managing a classroom independently
• Interested in building ongoing teaching relationships

Preferred Background
• Dance training (ballet, tap, jazz, or related styles)
• Experience teaching or working with children
• Early childhood or education experience helpful but not required
• Classroom management experience a plus

Requirements
• Reliable transportation
• Availability for weekday afternoon classes
• Ability to commit to scheduled classes once accepted
• Background check eligibility
• Liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)

Compensation

$25 to $45 per class depending on experience and class size.

Additional classes available for instructors interested in expanding their schedule.

Instructors are engaged as independent contractors and maintain control over their teaching methods while aligning with program objectives.
