Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Lead Risk Assessor at Milwaukee Public Schools, located in Milwaukee, WI. The Lead Risk Assessor will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks related to health and safety within school facilities. Day-to-day tasks include conducting thorough evaluations of potential hazards, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, implementing fire safety and legionella management protocols, and preparing detailed reports. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with internal teams to communicate findings and propose solutions to ensure a safe and productive environment for students, staff, and stakeholders.
Qualifications
• Strong expertise in Health & Safety, including the ability to identify and mitigate risks to ensure a secure environment.
• Proven skills in Fire Safety and Legionella management, with the ability to implement and oversee necessary compliance measures.
• Effective Communication skills, including the ability to convey complex safety information to diverse stakeholders clearly and professionally.
• Demonstrated Analytical Skills to assess risks, evaluate data, and develop actionable safety strategies.
• Familiarity with safety regulations applicable to educational institutions and experience creating comprehensive risk assessment reports.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Safety Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in school or public facility environments is advantageous.
